Biography

Yulia Eskin holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Mathematics stream), co-op program. She graduated with high distinction in 2009 from University of Toronto. As an undergraduate student, she was involved in a research project in computer vision with Professor Sven Dickinson and Michael Jamieson. The project's goal was to extend an automatic image annotation system.

In the fall of 2009, Yulia began her Masters in Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Currently, she is involved in a research project with IATSL that will extend the COACH system by monitoring the nutrition of older adults with dementia using computer vision and machine learning techniques.
